What we believe

Why “Christian Apostolic”?

Our name is a statement of faith. Each part of it tells you who we are.

Our faithChristian

Like the first believers in Antioch, we are called Christians because our faith rests entirely on the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Acts 11:26
Our doctrineApostolic

We believe, preach, and practice the faith the Apostles “once delivered unto the saints.” From the beginning, they taught:

Jude 1:3
  1. One God

God has revealed Himself to us as our Father in creation, as the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in regeneration. These are different revelations of God, given to mankind at different points in history, but He has always been the same one God, and in Jesus Christ that one God was revealed in the flesh.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD.”
    Deuteronomy 6:41 Timothy 3:16
  2. Faith and obedience

We are saved by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and that faith is never alone, because “faith without works is dead.” Jesus commands us to obey His Gospel through repentance, baptism in His name, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

    Acts 2:38Ephesians 2:8James 2:26John 3:3–8
  3. A holy life

Following peace and holiness is essential to one day seeing the Lord.

    Hebrews 12:14

We are a church family, and the presence of God is strong when we gather.

Our callingof San Antonio

God has planted us in this city, and we have ministered to San Antonio since 1986. Our doors are open to everyone, wherever they are with God.

Our faith is Christian, our teaching is Apostolic, and our calling is San Antonio.
