Baby Shower for Mason Lee Nix

Pastor and Sis. Nix’s first grandchild is on the way! Cody and Vangie Nix are expecting their first baby, Mason Lee Nix, on or about November 5, and the Nix family is over the moon. Please join in praying for a healthy mom and baby, and in celebrating the newest little blessing in the church family.

Purpose Men’s Conference: Into Promise

A South Central Texas District (UPCI) event, open to all. The Purpose Men’s Conference is an exciting time for the men of our district. Our theme this year is “Into Promise.” Men will be instructed and challenged to enter the promises God has for each of them, focusing on the things we as men should be doing that will translate into the blessings of God in each of our worlds. This is not an exercise of works, but a way of life that results in the favor of God.

• Rev. Kerry Sharp will speak nightly and at the Gatekeepers breakfast on Friday morning.
• Bro. Galen Walters will speak in one of the breakout sessions, and in a special Saturday morning session, “Our Potential in the Kingdom.”
• Friday morning breakout sessions:
  • Promise in Obedience – Pastor Tim Doran
  • Promise in Relationships – Bro. Galen Walters
  • Promise in Persistence – Pastor Greg Steele
• Panel discussion: Business and Entrepreneurship. Discover how business can benefit the Kingdom of God.
• Closing session and communion: District Superintendent Rev. Nathan Scoggins will minister as the conference closes. As in past years, the men will take communion together, always a special time.
