Adult Sunday School with advanced doctrinal studies, before the main service.
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
The Bereans did not simply listen. They searched the Scriptures for themselves, and Scripture calls that noble. Master Classes is built for people with that same hunger.
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-12 (KJV)
God has made the ministry responsible to teach and mature the Body of Christ, and those who teach will give account for the souls in their care (Hebrews 13:17). We take that seriously. It is why these classes go deep.
Master Classes is deep, advanced teaching in the truth of God’s Word, for people who want more than the basics. You are welcome to bring your questions. They are heard, explored and answered directly from Scripture, in a warm, unhurried atmosphere where no question is a threat. Often the questions that rise from hungry hearts carry us well beyond the syllabus, and we follow them as long as they need.
Again and again, people tell us they received understanding that had eluded them for years. For some it is the first moment the pieces connect. For others it is a deepening that makes the truth come alive. People learn, they absorb, and they leave with the greater confidence and strength that come from being rooted and grounded in the truth.
Advanced Creation Studies. In-depth study of the nature and order of Creation, with Biblical and scientific evidence, and a careful look at the arguments atheism raises against Creation.
The Bible: Accuracy and Validity. Why you can trust that the Word of God is real and true.
Examining Major Religions. We study other faiths and where they depart from the Bible, not to belittle anyone, but so that believers can know the truth, defend it, and be ready to give the reason for the hope that is in them (1 Peter 3:15).
Pastor Kyle Nix, MBA, Director
Pastor Nix has served in ministry for more than 45 years. He is an ordained minister, in fellowship with the UPCI since 1985, and served in missions before that. Scripture speaks of a gift to the Church of “pastors and teachers” (Ephesians 4:11), and he teaches with both in mind: to shepherd people and to ground them in the Word. He is quick to say it is not his ability but the calling, gift and anointing the Holy Spirit has placed on his life. Decades of real-world ministry inform his teaching in ways the classroom alone cannot, and his MBA brings order and clarity to how each course is built.
